Abstract

The paradigm of ovarian dehydrogenases and oxidases e.g., SDH., LDH. -3  -HSDH and MAO in response to Sublethal dose of Pb(NO3)2 and ZnSO4 after 7,21 and 35 days of chronic exposure was significantly altered vis-a-vis control. The histochemical data obtained with respect aforesaid enzyme indicates that Pb is relatively more toxic than Zn. Thus, SDH staining in ovarian cell types were grossly reduced after 7 and 21 days of treatment by Pb. Some rebound recovery occurred after day 35. Elevation in SDH staining in ovarian cells was observed throughout the period of Zn treatment.
