Abstract

The study is considered under descriptive survey-cum-exploratory type of research. Thirty six Anganwadi centres under ICDS projects of Delhi. India were selected as the field of study. Thirty six Anganwadi workers were selected purposively from the thirty six Anganwadi centres as participants of the study. Data were collected personally from the participants by administering two self-developed tools i.e., interview schedule and information blank. Both qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques were used to analyze the data of the study. The major findings of the study indicated that the Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi helpers and other such health service providers take care of health related problems and other problems of the special group children in case of their emergency in Anganwadi centres. There is no any special facility for different categories of special group children in the Anganwadi centres. The study recommended that the government and the concerned authority should take steps to provide special services or facilities for the special group children in the Anganwadi centres for their better rehabilitation and development.
