Teacher Effectiveness of Senior Secondary School Teacher With regard to their Personality Dimension and locale

Abstract

     This study investigated the extent to which the personality dimension and locale of teachers influenced the teacher effectiveness of senior secondary school teachers. The present study was conducted on a sample of 150 senior secondary school teachers. Exploratory descriptive survey research method has been used in the study. Teacher Effectiveness Scale (TES)by Pramod Kumar and D.N.Mutha,and MPI was used for measuring the teacher effectiveness and personality dimension of Senior Secondary  School teachers. For data analysis‘t’ & F -test of significance has been employed to compare the teacher effectiveness of Senior secondary school teachers with regard to their personality dimension and interaction effect.  The result has been found that the significant difference in Teacher Effectiveness between Extrovert and Introvert teachers  and no significant difference was found between rural and urban areas teachers, but teachers belongs to urban areas are more effective as compared to the teachers belong to rural areas . The interaction effect of personality dimension and Locale on Teacher effectiveness was also found significant.
